About Me!

I am a jill of all trades and a master of none!

I live in the beautiful mountains of northeast Georgia with my family: husband, two daughters, and two cats. Nature and trees are very wondrous and inspirational to me. I grew up playing classical and Irish music on violin–music is a universal language and I enjoy it in all forms and genres.

I have been an avid visual artist since a very young age and still enjoy drawing, painting, and creating.  Watercolor and pen are my favorite mediums but I still dabble in acrylics from time to time. I create fun craft goods with my husband–he builds it and I paint it! Lots of fun!

As for writing…hmm, where to start. I’ve dabbled in writing since middle school where I sat down at the computer every night and just wrote a story–no outline, no development just wrote. In college that writing morphed into play writing which is still my number one love. I still dabble in fiction writing, micro/flash fiction especially and really like experimenting with form.  I am currently working on several theatre for young audience scripts as well as a sci fi/detective story.

As for nerdy things: I looove science fiction–really I love science fact too. I wanted to be an entomologist once upon a time! I like both Star Wars and Star Trek, Doctor Who (9th Doctor for the win!) robots, steampunk, dragons, pirates, dark psychological television and movies. Other favorite movies include: Batman (anything but Nolan’s) Beetlejuice, Sleepy Hollow, The Fifth Element, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Brave Little Toaster, Rats of NIMH, The Cell, and many more!
